ACNE!

So I decided to post today about our lovely skin’s not so lovely and really rather difficult to get rid of feature or I don’t know what you want to call it; acne. I’m just gonna go through the main cause, the possible causes for YOUR outbreaks, my daily skin routine.

The Cause; our skin has tiny pores which connect to oil glands found under our skin and some substances will grow out from your skin (I know it sounds really gross) and if these pores are clogged/blocked, pimples occur (which is worse am I right?). That’s basically it which is why for those who don’t know already, a lot of products out there tend to appeal to the “pore minimizing” and “unclogging pores” side because obviously  that is the main reason for the occurrence of pimples. The reason for YOUR outbreaks actually really depends on your lifestyle; if you’re an active person or what your diet is like, do you drink enough water, etc. So that’s another tip, to keep a healthy lifestyle and drink tons of water (: Something to note if you have oily skin is that sometimes your skin is actually really dry and this causes the excess oil on your face so WATER IS IMPORTANT (: I personally have problems with acne because I was just a lazy kid who kept eating unhealthy foods and i was just an unfit and really unhealthy.

With that, I now run a very active lifestyle with a much healthier diet and i can proudly say that my acne isn’t as bad as it was when i first got it at the age of 11 (I’m 14 now).

My Skin Care Routine (: So all of you must finally know that I am a HUGE fan of The Body Shop products from their skin care to makeup to hair care and home fragrances. I am just obsessed with them all. I use the Tea Tree line of products but I don’t use the whole line though. I use the Foam Cleanser (twice a day, morning and night), Toner (once a day at night when I have more time), Blackhead Exfoliating Wash (twice a week) and the Tea Tree Oil (for quick blemish removal). I am thinking about getting the Pore Minimizer and the Blemish Gel so tell me what you think, if any of you have it, whether I should get it or not or will I be overspending..? I actually used the Vitamin C line once upon a time but it only worked for me for about 6 months before my acne started worsening again and then i had to switch back to Tea Tree. The Vitamin C is actually a really great line of products that brightens up your skin and really does makes you look and feel fresher.

I’m not as familiar with any other brands of face wash or skin care but there was a point of time i wanted to try Garnier but i skipped out on it because my mum didn’t want to spend more money just to try out a completely new line of skin care products. Inbox me telling me what using Garnier was like just so i can widen my range of skin care products and your range of skin care products. Also, if any of you use acne.org products let me know as well because I’ve been hearing tons of good reviews on their products and to be honest my acne is getting worse.

Call Me Maybe Mighty Squat Challenge!

it’s really effective, so long as you watch your diet and do some cardio either before or after the workout. this is the workout that i do if i cant go running to do cardio(:

  • 20 push ups
  • 20 situps
  • 25 squats
  • 20 lunges (10 per leg)
  • 80 jumping jacks
  • 60 second wall sit
  • 30-45 sec break btwn each set(:

i’ll be uploading a whole lot more workouts as well as hair care/skincare/hair tutorials soon. i still owe you all my KL Haul hahah.
